Services Overview
At Almond Therapy & Counselling, I provide evidence-based therapy for adults and young people. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) recognises the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviours and overall wellbeing.
I support individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems, where therapy is collaborative and tailored to each person, with a focus on practical skills that support positive change in everyday life.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based therapy that helps individuals understand how their thoughts, emotions and behaviours interact. By identifying unhelpful patterns and developing healthier ways of thinking and responding, CBT supports meaningful and lasting change.
CBT is structured, practical and goal-focused, making it effective for managing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem difficulties and trauma-related symptoms.
Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore personal challenges, gain insight and understanding, and develop coping strategies. I work with adults of all ages and adolescents aged 15-18, tailoring therapy to each person's needs, goals and readiness.
Sessions are warm, respectful and collaborative, supporting clients to feel heard, understood and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.
School In-Reach Therapy & Programs

I provide in-reach therapy services to schools, drawing on my background as a secondary school teacher and psychotherapist. Support can include individual therapy for students, as well as small group psycho-education programs focused on wellbeing, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, stress management and/or self-confidence.
School-based services are developmentally appropriate, practical and designed to complement the school environment, supporting students' mental and social/emotional health, learning and overall wellbeing.
NDIS Therapy (Self-managed & Plan Managed)

I offer therapy services for NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. While I am not currently an NDIS-registered provider, I work with participants seeking psychological support aligned with their NDIS goals.
Therapy focuses on building emotional regulation, coping skills, confidence and everyday functioning in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Inclusive Practice

Almond Therapy & Counselling is an inclusive and respectful space, committed to providing a culturally safe and affirming space for individuals. I welcome people of all backgrounds and identities, including people from the LGBTQIA+ community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Services are currently offered in English. At this time, I'm unable to provide therapy with the use of a translator.
Please Note
I work with individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. At this time, I am not able to support clients presenting with severe or complex mental health conditions, or those assessed as high risk, including moderate to high levels of suicidality or self-harm
